It's been awhile since I've shared an update on the Evans' household, but I wanted to wait until today-- a day that has felt even more exciting than Christmas! Today we found out whether Kylie's sibling is a boy or girl, and it's a....
Well, I suppose I should probably share highlights from the last couple of months, first. ;)
Life has been BUSY!! Shane has been on the road (or in the air, whatever you prefer) quite a bit. On just his last mission alone he travelled to several continents, including Europe, Asia, Africa, and back to the good ole U. S. of A. Some of the cargo they carried was the Marine One helicopter and the Navy Seal Team Six. Pretty exciting!
I've been plugging away at my internship hours at the high school. Only have 350 hours to go!! I absolutely love working with the students and have learned so much!! In fact, my supervisor was on medical leave for three weeks, so I was asked by the school's administration to take on her full workload. My learning curve went straight up, to say the least! I'm grateful for the experience and felt honored that the school trusted me enough to let me act as a "real counselor." Definitely confirmed that I'm in the best field for me!
Speaking of curves, Kylie's developmental curve is really on the up-and-up. She's recently started taking her first steps, waves "Hi!" and "Bye!", drinks her bottle on her own, and is quite a social butterfly everywhere she goes. Can't believe she'll be 10 months next week! Getting really close to becoming a big sister to a....

Okay, okay. NOW I'll share the news of the day. The Evans will welcome...
Samuel Lee!!! (We finally get to use the boy name we had picked out the first round :)
As soon as the examination began, the ultrasound tech double-checked with us about finding out the gender. We assured her we wanted to know this time, so she said, "Okay, good! Because there 'it' is!" (The 3rd picture down is the one she was referring to...haha).
We are over the moon to round out the family with a little boy! We've got our little Daddy's girl, so now I get my little Mama's boy! Hehe!
Thanks to you all for your continuous love, support, and encouragement as we get ready for this expansion. It's gonna be crazy, but we're absolutely thrilled for the challenge of being a family of four!
